Hello Cell,
Wow, can you believe it I am logged in FINALLY!
Just wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate everyone and how encouraging our sharing was for me this past Tuesday.
The whole idea of keeping our heart steadfast and to keep God before us was such a good reminder. Good word Cindy.
I went home afterwards and happen to be watching the news and on comes an add for the movie called " DeRailing" with Jennifer Aniston. They happen to show a scene from that movie where she is in front of her door with this guy. She tells this guy, "You know my heart is with.. so and so..." hence she can't be with him. So she gives him a quick kiss goodnight, attempt to say goodnight, but he doesn't leave. He simply stands there and watches her till she gives in and passionately kisses him and the scene ends with them going into their apartment... you know the rest..
I felt like the Holy Spirit's message to me and to us was so timely.. We had just talked about how to set our hearts on Him and not to get derailed and here was a movie that was all about being derailed by the enemy. I thought " That is exactly what the enemy does to "derail" us! He lurks and lingers till we give in.. I was reminded of the James 4: 7, 8.. " Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you." The enemy doesn't even need to say anything sometimes. He just waits till we give in again..
But we know our heart is with God and we need to continuously draw near to Him so we can resist the works of the enemy and the flesh. The moment we draw near and rededicate ourselves to him again, we are able to have the strength to resist all the "derailers of our lives."
So ladies.. let's keep fighting for one another :)
